Treatment options available under Advanced Electrolysis are;

  • Thread Vein (spider vein or telangiectasia) removal

  • Cherry moles (cherry angioma or Campbell De Morgan) removal
  • Milia (small white lipid-ethelium plugs) removal

Please be aware there are contra-indications that can prevent treatment being performed. If you are unsure please discuss any concerns you may have BEFORE the appointment.  Contra-indications include;

  • Aids / HIV
  • Severe Asthma
  • Auditory devices (hearing aids)
  • Cancer
  • Circulation disorders
  • Recent (within 1 month) dermabrasion
  • Diabetes
  • Blood thinning medication such as warfarin or aspirin
  • Epilepsy
  • Fitzpatrick scale V & VI (very dark skin)
  • Heart conditions
  • Haemophilia
  • Hepatitis
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Keloid scarring
  • Recent (within 2 weeks) Laser / IPL hair removal
  • Metal pates or pins in the area
  • Pace Makers
  • Thrombosis History
  • Pregnant
  • Recent Scar Tissue
  • Rosacea
  • Sunburn
  • Skin Diseases or Disorders
  • Swelling and Oedema (fluid build up)

After your treatment you can expect a few contra-actions including

  • Thread Veins – some redness and swelling. Small scabs may appear and go within 2 days to 2 weeks
  • Skin tags – small brown, crust like scabs may appear and fall off within a few days
  • Milia – small crusts which will fall off within a few days

To get the best from your treatment there are a few things to be aware of that you should and shouldn’t do. Such as;

  • Avoid touching the treated area no make-up to be applied for at least 24 hours (also while scabs are present for thread veins as well)
  • Avoid heat (sun beds, sauna, hot bath, steam etc.) until the skin has healed
  • Avoid conditions that make the skin flush such as spicy food and alcohol etc.
  • No other facial treatments until the skin has healed
  • No swimming until the skin has healed
  • Avoid harsh products on the treated area
  • Apply anti-septic gently as required
